Light Shining Through II

Inspired by Scandinavian forest. Description is combined for Emerging path and Light shining through. These paintings are in acrylics on canvas. They were painted in several layers. The first layer is a scribbly mess of different colours. As well as giving texture the idea is that you can create something positive on top of chaos. The forest was then added with a plan to flood it with light. In one of the paintings there is a hint of a path, which formed during the painting process. Hence the title “Emerging Path”. There is often a path through even when the difficult circumstances surround us. The other painting, “Light shining through”, which was painted first, also has a story of finding light, calm and serenity in the forest that is life. There are two prints available following the same intention to communicate a strong focus of light being present. The originals for the prints were painted using charcoal. Both are available to order here. This was recently put forward to the second round in SAA judged competion
